Diploma in Computer Engineering

Vision of Computer Department:

The department offers the latest in Computer Engineering and prepares the students to take up a career as System Administrator, Network Engineer, Customer Support Engineer, Software Programmer, Multimedia & Animation Professionals, Web designer / Developer or Hardware Engineer. We prepare our students to be readily employable by major MNCs. We teach them the core skills required to take up an IR job: Communication Skills, Team work, Self Improvement and Commitment.

Course Contents:

The Department offers basic subjects such as Electrical Electronics Engineering, Operating System, Computer architecture, C & Date Structure, Web designing, OOPs with Java Programming for second year students.

The final year students have .NET Programming, Software and advanced subjects such as Networking Security, Relational Database Management System, Multimedia Systems, Mobile Computing, PC Hardware and Servicing. All the students are required to do a project in their final semester for which our staff members guide them.

Department Library:

The department has a dedicated department library with 250 + books and CD's covering a wide range of latest subjects.

Facilities/Infrastructure:

The department is equipped with two full-fledged computer lab. A total of 95 configuration computers are available to the students. All the computers are networked via Ethernet. A range of Operating systems like Windows, XP, Vista and Red Hat Linux are available. To ensure that the students learning is not interrupted by power cuts, all labs are protected 100% with online Uninterrupted Power Supply. The Department has a dedicated Internet Connectivity of 2 Mbps.
